Job Description

We seek a proactive and technically strong Automation/Service Engineer to handle end-to-end programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems. The role involves developing and modifying PLC and HMI programs based on design inputs and site requirements, conducting panel testing and diagnostics, and executing commissioning activities including I/O checks, system synchronization, and performance validation at client sites. You will also manage breakdown support through effective troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, coordinate with customers, OEMs, and internal teams, and ensure timely documentation and reporting of all activities. Additionally, the role requires continuous process improvement, customer feedback integration, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance team capability. Hands-on experience in Siemens PLCs (S7-200, S7-1200, ET200SP, S7-1500), drive programming (G120, Lenze), HMI development, and on-site automation execution is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks with seniors, execute priorities, and support junior engineers with technical guidance.
  • Develop, test, and modify PLC & HMI programs based on drawings and site requirements.
  • Perform panel testing, identify issues, and coordinate design improvements for optimal performance.
  • Execute end-to-end site commissioning including testing, calibration, and system optimization.
  • Handle breakdowns through troubleshooting, repairs, and coordination with internal and OEM teams.
  • Collaborate with customers, OEMs, and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution and updates.
  • Maintain and submit service reports, MoMs, and project documentation accurately.
  • Identify gaps and enhance efficiency in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Collect and utilize customer feedback to improve service quality and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and enhance team capabilities in programming and troubleshooting.
  • Use advanced tools and software to improve program accuracy, diagnostics, and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience in Siemens PLCs (S7-200, S7-1200, ET200SP, S7-1500), drives (G120, Lenze), HMI development, and on-site automation programming.
